I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Inspiration:
For this painting, I was thinking about all the processes involved in creating the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. There are untold eons of subtle wind and water erosion which bit by bit eat away at the stone.
The arch is a significant symbol. It reminds me of the gates to heaven or a passage from life into death, then again from death into new life.
The concept in this painting is that a love letter from a living family member was composed to a beloved departed. It is layered both on top of and underneath the arch. The forms merge as this letter of love moves through the arch into the next life. Love is as strong as death.
