The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

For nearly thirty years he has been a software engineer. For many years he has been fascinated by the complex patterns and structures that can evolve from a simple knight moving on a chessboard. Recently, he has begun to explore the possibilities that the puzzle, Sudoku, can provide as well as Bingo and scanned barcodes. His artistic expressions are, in essence, the result of numerical conversions. Many of the images you see are single frames from animation sketches created using Processing - see below. He has...

Ron Brown replied:
Julietta, thanks so much. Your 'Pregnancy' image and your 'Smoke' image are especially wonderful. I trust they will never be combined (on the other hand, maybe one superimposed on the other would be interesting). Again, thanks!

You combine two of my favorite things. Art and chess. I never would have thought to put the two together. Brilliant!
Ron Brown replied:
Jeff, thank you very much! Many of the images on the web site are based on knight moves and are single frames of never-ending animations (until I stop the program that draws them).
